A Place of Comfort Being invited into someone's home is something that is very honoring. This is a place where someone is able to take off their shoes, hang their hat; this is a place of comfort.  Everyone has (or should have) a place where they are able to feel safe and allow themselves to be vulnerable.  Having a home means you are probably financially stable, which is a big thing in an economic-driven society. Not only is a home a reflection of your wealth or economic status, it's also a reflection of your personality. Homes should be ridden with furniture and decor that showcases your personal tastes and style. Choosing how one decorates this space is something very interesting to me, since this is where they choose to live and stay, it should be dripping with personality. Whether your thing is modern, rustic, colonial, or more, it's always you. I wanted to capture these different styles or preferences  present in a couple of houses I ...

photographed is my best friend, Magalie Langrais along with her dog, Misha. although Misha was a new addition to her family, this is the  bedroom Magalie had grew up in, since childhood. She says she always feels comfortable in this place, and had many great memories in this room. photographed is Magalie, once again. this photo was taken outside her house, in the neighborhood she had spent all her life in. elements of leading lines and framing are present in this photo photographed is my little cousin, Adrian Brum. this photo was taken at a park that he enjoys playing at. when I asked him if he wanted me to take him to the park, his eyes lit up. I wanted to show that childhood bliss can comefrom the simplest things, like spending an hour at the park on a Sunday afternoon. photographed again is Adrian. this photo was taken in the arcade at the Kirkland Colisee movie theater. Still Life

The object that I have chosen is the vial holding the flowers.  This photo was taken using the diffused light coming from the window.  This vial is actually very small, and filling it with tiny flowers and surrounding it with flowers slightly bigger makes the vial seem normal sized. I used the object's intended use, which is to hold things. It's containing small flowers in it, along with the pollen branch. I liked playing with perception with this photo, I used Vantage Point in this photo, since everything is small, I used a low and close camera angle to make things look larger. Leading lines are also used in this photo, the red streamer sort of leads to the vial.   The glass vial is the subject of this photo. Direct sunlight is being used in this photo. I dug the vial into the snowbank to show the smallness of it. The sunlight is hitting the glass along with the snow nicely, I liked how the light made the glass and snow glow together. ...

Self Portrait

Image
This photo was taken in my bedroom. My bedroom is the place where I spend most of my time at home, I grew up eighteen years here, from birth through adolescence to adulthood. It always provided me a place to feel safe and comfortable, my worries always wash away once I enter the room that I've done so much growing and developing in. It's probably my favorite place on earth. This was the first self portrait I took, so I wanted it to include me, along with my best bud, Pepe, who I absolutely adore to no end. The photo isn't the greatest, but it took many attempts to make my cat look at the camera, so I took what I can get. This photo was taken at my art class. I've been attending this art class for almost a year now and it always lets me be creative and gives me an opportunity to escape real life and put my time and focus on something that I really love, and I'm very thankful for it. I really like the final image, I like how the focu...
